Pre-owned Technic is one of the best ways to own retired flagships or save money on recent sets. Here's what to check.

1. Condition label

At REBLOXE, every listing is labelled Like New, Imperfect Box or Used. Read our condition guide to know exactly what each means.

2. What's included

Look for: original box, building instructions, minifigures (rare in Technic but sometimes included), missing or replacement pieces, and cosmetic wear. Our product pages list each of these.

3. Electronics

For motorised sets like the 4x4 X-treme Off-Roader 42099, check that hubs, motors and battery boxes are included. Battery compartments should be clean.

4. Stickers

Technic sets use many stickers. Applied stickers are normal on used sets; unapplied sheets are a bonus.

5. Panels and colours

Large coloured panels can fade in sunlight. Light fading is common on used sets and doesn't affect the build.

6. Price vs condition

Compare the Used, Imperfect Box and Like New versions of the same set: an Imperfect Box copy is often the sweet spot for builders who don't keep boxes.
