Checking a set is complete is the most time-consuming part of buying used LEGO®. Here's the method collectors use, and what we do for every REBLOXE set.
1. Find the official inventory
Each set has a parts list. The last pages of most instruction booklets show it, and LEGO's online building instructions and the LEGO Builder app make it easy to consult. Community databases also list inventories by set number.
2. Sort before you count
Sort pieces by colour first, then by shape. Trays or muffin tins work well. For big sets, sort by numbered bag if the original bags are available.
3. Check the "easy to lose" parts first
- Minifigures and their accessories (weapons, hair, helmets).
- Small printed tiles and transparent pieces.
- Technic pins and axles.
- Stickers and special parts like light bricks or motors.
4. Build it
The most reliable check is building the set. Missing pieces become obvious at each step.
5. Replace what's missing
LEGO's official replacement service and online marketplaces sell individual pieces. See our guide to replacing missing pieces.
Skip the work
Every REBLOXE set has already been checked piece by piece, and each product page lists what's included. Large sets like the Assembly Square 10255 or the Hogwarts Castle 71043 are where this saves the most time.

- 10255 Assembly Square: Like New · Used
- 71043 Hogwarts Castle: Imperfect Box
Every listing states its grade (Like New, Imperfect Box or Used) and exactly what is included. All sets are checked piece by piece, cleaned and disinfected. See our condition guide.
FAQ
Where can I find the parts list for a LEGO set?
In the back of most instruction booklets, in LEGO's online building instructions and the LEGO Builder app, and on community databases.
How long does it take to check a big used set?
For sets over 3,000 pieces, it can take several hours, which is why buying a checked set saves time.
