"Refurbished" is a word you see more and more on pre-owned LEGO® sets, but it isn't an official LEGO term. It simply means a set that has already had an owner and has been checked, completed, cleaned and prepared before being sold again. Here's what it covers at REBLOXE, and how to read a listing.
What happens to a refurbished set
Before a set is listed, it goes through our quality-control process:
- Checked piece by piece against the set's inventory.
- Cleaned and disinfected, so it's ready to build straight away.
- Graded: we state the condition of the pieces and the box.
- Documented: each product page lists what's included: box, instructions, minifigures, missing or replacement pieces and cosmetic wear.
What "Grade A" means
All our sets are sold as Refurbished Grade A: complete sets in very good condition. Within Grade A, three listing grades tell you about the box and any signs of previous play.
The three listing grades
Like New
Our best grade. A complete set with no visible wear and its original box in good condition. Ideal for collectors and gifts. Example: Parisian Restaurant 10243.
Imperfect Box
The same complete set, but the original box has cosmetic imperfections such as dents, creases or tears. Perfect if you build your sets and don't display the box, often at a lower price.
Used
A complete set that has been built and enjoyed before. Pieces may show light signs of play (small scuffs or marks). The best value for builders.
How to choose
- Collecting or gifting? Choose Like New.
- Building and displaying the model, not the box? Imperfect Box is the smart pick.
- Building for fun on a budget? Used gives you the most set for your money.
